Meet The Founder
Tomeka Winston
With over thirty years of dedicated experience in the healthcare field, Tomeka Winston has built a career centered on care, dedication, and service. Driven by this lifelong calling to serve others, she embarked on a professional path that eventually led her to become a Traveling Medical Tech. For twelve years, she traversed the nation, supporting hospitals and clinics facing critical healthcare staffing shortages.
It was during an assignment in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2023 that Tomeka discovered a profound connection to the valley, ultimately choosing to make it her permanent home. Guided by an innate passion for aiding others and a deep-seated belief in the power of community, she recognized a larger purpose unfolding in her life's narrative.
With unwavering determination, she set out to establish sober living homes, driven by a heartfelt commitment to assist individuals in overcoming life's adversities. Tomeka's vision embodies a desire to leave a lasting, positive impact on the lives of others—partnering with the surrounding community to foster a deeply rooted culture of compassion, accountability, and lifelong recovery.

Tomeka's Why embodies a deeply personal journey rooted in the memory of her beloved sister, Nicole Denise Winston, whose tragic passing on November 28, 2022, underscored the devastating impact of alcohol abuse. Motivated by the loss of Nicole and fueled by a desire to help others navigate these same challenges, Tomeka embarked on a mission to establish sober living homes.
Recognizing how deeply substance abuse impacts our lives, our families, and our communities. Tomeka envisioned these homes as sanctuaries where individuals could escape from harmful environments and embrace a supportive, stable community dedicated to recovery. In honoring Nicole's legacy of compassion and resilience, Tomeka strives to create spaces where members feel safe, empowered, and surrounded by peers who understand their journey.
Through these efforts, Tomeka seeks to break the cycle of addiction and offer hope for a brighter, healthier future, ensuring that Nicole's memory continues to inspire and uplift those in need.
